Obituary of Jack Lynch
Jack Lynch, 97, of Roanoke peacefully passed away at the Veterans Administration Medical Center on Monday, March 18, 2019. He was an Army Veteran, a former prisoner of war and proudly served his country during World War II.
Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Edwin Saunders Lynch, three sisters and one brother.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Pat Lynch Irby and husband Mike; special grandson, Zack; sister, Helen Hurt; brothers, Wilbur Lynch, Jr. and Wesley Lynch; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr Lynch was a very special grandpa to Melissa, Kynslee and Ellie Blankenship.
The family offer a very special thank you to the PCU staff and the ICU staff at the Veterans Administration Medical Center for the wonderful care provided Mr. Lynch.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the V A Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastors, George Bulson and Ben Denton. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home 366-0707
