Obituary of Willard Lee Campbell

Willard Lee "Sarge" Campbell, 89, of Catawba passed away Monday, March 18, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Campbell, his first wife, Barbara Campbell,  a brother, Fred Campbell, and an infant sister.

Mr. Campbell faithfully served his country in the U S Army for over 20 years retiring as an Ammunition Forman. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ.  His many hobbies included a special love of antique cars.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Campbell; step daughters, Ginger Davis and Sheri Farmer; grandchildren, Shae Farmer and Chase Davis; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Reba Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of the donors choice.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Eddie Gilpin, minister.  Interment with military honors will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
