Alma Hughes Parker, 93, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 14, 2019. She was preceded by her parents, Leon and Essie Mae Lee Hughes; sister, Elma Lee Synan, and brothers, Donor and Fineson Hughes.
Mrs. Parker was a longtime member of New Life Christian Ministries.
Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Robert Lee Parker; daughter, Meryle Parker; and a special niece, Rhonda Hutson.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Walter L. Wood. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
