Obituary of Emily J. Amos

February 27, 2019 Emily J. Amos, 95, of Roanoke, Va. passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert A. and Harriette B. Johnson; and a sister, Gwendolyn Nickerson.

Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Ralph G. Amos, Jr.; sons, Gilbert L. "Gil" Amos, Robert A. "Rob" Amos, David R. "Dave" Amos and wife, Tammy; grandsons, Ryan A. and Sean M. Amos; sister, Louise J. Weaver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff on 2-North at Friendship Health Care Center (especially Janice and Marilyn) for their many acts of kindness and compassion.
