I wish to convey my condolences to the Arnold family. Herb was one of my best students in 1980 at Newport News Shipbuilding. He was always pleasant, engaging and funny. I wish we could have kept in touch! Arnold, as he was known at NNS was a very good man. You could count on him do always do his best. Thank you Arnold
for your service to this great nation. God Bless you!

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I'm reaching out with some encouragement as I too have lost many loved ones in death. One thing that has helped me to cope many times is a promise made by in the Bible at Acts 24:15. Here it says that we can have a “hope toward God” for He promises that “there is going to be a resurrection.” What a comfort to have “a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago.” (Titus 1:2) I hope these verses comfort you as they have comforted me. My heart and prayers go out to you.
Below is a link to a very encouraging Bible-based brochure entitled, When Someone You Love Dies. Please use your personal Bible with this brochure as you read it in the months ahead.

Dear Family,
The death of a loved one is unbearable and causes so much heartache and stress, but the Bible gives us comfort and hope. The Bible says: “The last enemy, death is to be destroyed.”—1 Cor. 15:26.Jehovah God will also “wipe out every tear” from our eyes and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Revelations 21:4). This comforting promise gives hope to those who mourn. It removes the awful feeling of finality that death brings and gives hope of a brighter future where death will be a thing of the past.
Sincerely,
Regina
