Obituary of Nancy King Hurt

Nancy King Hurt 72 of Roanoke went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday February 8, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Her son, Jay Richards, and parents, John and Elsie King, preceded her.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 30 years, Harold Hurt; daughter, Julie Atkins and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Chris Richards, Callie Richards, and Lucas Atkins; sisters, Barbara King Smith and husband Richard, Janet Trent, along with a brother, John H. King Jr. and wife Sarah and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to say thank you to Amedisys Hospice for their kindness and also Mount Pleasant Rescue Squad and all at Clearbrook Baptist Church for all they have done during this time.

Family asks in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mount Pleasant Rescue Squad in her memory.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Monday February 11, 2019 in the Clearbrook Baptist Church with Pastor Bryan Ratliff officiating. Fellowship will follow the service at the church. Inurnment will be private.
