Obituary of Carl Stanley Grubb

Carl Stanley Grubb 92 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Friday January 11, 2019. His daughter Lori A. Grubb, grandson, James L. Miller, parents and 4 siblings, preceded him.

Mr. Grubb served proudly in the United States Marines during World War II. In addition, retired after 34 years of service with Rowe Furniture, then went to work for Roanoke Electric Zupply and spent 20 years with them. A very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 33 years Geneieve (Pee Wee) Grubb; children, Jayne Ragland, Terry (Mary Beth) Grubb, Joan  (Phil) Williams, Belinda (Mel) Lamoreaux, Rose (Lisa Cochran) McFarland, Dena Holliday, and Amy Ferris; five grandchildren, Scott Hampton, Heather (Jackson) Wishin, Justin (Angie) Paslawski, Hope (Ryan) Key, and Ashleigh (Darin) Goad; four great grandchildren, Merida Wishin, Shane Paslawski, Ty´Shawn Williams , and Aurelius Williams; sister, Mildred Ruff; brothers Bud (Betty) Grubb and Gene Grubb. Along with dear friends, Jack Hatcher, Beverley Garst and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A funeral service will be held 3:00pm Wednesday January 16, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher Yopp officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday January 15, 2019 at the funeral home.
