I'm saddened to find this report of Cindy's death. She had the sweetness of all the Bayse girls.
I recall Cindy visiting us in Norfolk while she was in the military in the 1980s.
I married Cindy's sister Shelly. Together we lived and loved in Richmond for 37 years prior to Shell's death in November of 2017. I'm heartbroken....

We are so very sorry for your loss. We are praying for each of you. This post is the best way I can describe Cindy. I will miss her greatly.
"I've had my favorite dish, Shrimp & Grits, at many restaurants, including The Greenbrier.
Hers topped them all.
She had a knack for taking all the scraps and leftovers and turning them into something amazing.
She took the ugly and made it beautiful.
In the kitchen, and in life.
She poured a dash of herself into every dish she prepared, creating meals that perfectly reflected her personality; warm, inviting, and full of flavor.
She never needed a recipe because it came from the heart.
Even as she underwent treatment, she NEVER lost her smile, her positive outlook, her upbeat attitude.
We will miss you here, my friend. Please save a plate and a hug for me."

Sam and family,
So sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. Cindy was a one-of-a-kind lady who exemplified joy and kindness. She was a great friend and mentor to our youngest daughter, Heather, and an inspiration to all the rest of her friends and customers. Prayers of comfort for you and all her family.

I remember going to visit Aunt Cindy with Dad so many times when Katie was just a little baby. It was always so nice to visit her. As I got older I remember her coming to get me in her little truck and we would ride around to different businesses putting out candy boxes. It was so nice to just ride around and talk with her as a teen. So many things to talk about and catch up on. We had not seen each other in many years but a few messages on Facebook. I wish I could have seen her more. I know she will be missed by so many. Prayers to Katie and Sam. You had a wonderful mother. Prayer also to my many aunt's, uncle and father. She is with Grandma and Jesus now. Until we have that sweet reuinion in the sky rest easy sweet Aunt Cindy.

In November of 2017 a few of us rode to Richmond in honor of their sister Shelly, we spent an evening sharing great memories of her. Cindy had rode down with Katie, but on the way back home, she came home with us. She was spending the night and Bubby was so excited to have his big sister under the same roof. We stayed up late sharing more memories of them growing up and talking about their mom and dad. It never fails, someone always tells a story that I have never heard! The next morning, she was up before we were, with anticipation of attending church with us. After the service she said she would love to come back and come for a weekend and we could fix some of her delicious homecookin! Sure gonna miss you sweet lady! We love you and will see you later
P.S. I'm still looking for that recipe of your mommas Cornbeef Hash
