Obituary of Lilly Widner Godsey

Lilly (Tiny) Godsey, 86, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 23, 2018.  She was preceded by her husband, Arthur, parents Robert and Theora Widner, brothers, sisters and a grandson, Travis Nichols.

Mrs. Godsey was a Godly woman and a wonderful mother.   She was a member of Star City Church of Christ and  retired as a nursing assistant with Community Hospital.

Surviving are her children, Robert (Sally) Godsey, Beverly (Cecil) Nichols, Charlotte (Mark) Burnette, Donnie (Joan) Godsey; nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren nieces and nephews; and a brother, Jack (June) Widner.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Potter Children Home 2350 Nashville Road Bowling Green, Kentucky  42101.

A memorial service will be conducted  1 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at Lake Drive Church of Christ Vinton, 1050 Bypass Road Vinton, VA  by Mr. Tommy Blewett.   Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory.  366-0707
