Kenneth Byrchum Marshall, 95, of Roanoke, passed away Friday December 14, 2018. 

 

Mr. Marshall served proudly in the United States Navy during the World War II conflict. He spent his career as a CPA in the Central Intelligence Agency since its infancy, and it took him around the world. He was an avid wood worker, part-time home builder, and rehabbed numerous homes. He was dedicated to his alma maters, University of Idaho and Washington State University. He had a special place in his heart  for ‘Operation Education’, which  assists returning disabled veterans in furthering their education.
 

He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth B. Marshall, Jr.; and two brothers, Charles F. Marshall and H. James Marshall.
 

Surviving are his wife of 67 years Dorene Marshall; sister, Lucille M. Hargrove; children, Frederick J. Marshall, Michael J. Marshall (Lisa), Susan Marshall (Tom Schmitz), and Nancylee Kershaw (Dean); nine grandchildren, Lauren Steed (Matt), Allie Pesch (AJ), Margaret Marshall, Isabelle Giordano (Andrew), Margaret Sullivan (Kevin), Mary Lentine (Michael), John Tyler Price (Katherine), Diana Price, and Thomas Price; eleven great grandchildren, Evelyn, Adeline, Louisa, Leo, Lottie, and Emma, Peyton, Henry, Callie, Andrew, and Luke.

 

A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery with the date to be announced.
