Obituary of Gerald Wesly Camper

Gerald Wesly “Jerry” Camper 77 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 5, 2018. His parents, Charles and Edith Camper, and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Allen Camper and Charles Edward Camper and his wife Mary, preceded him.

Mr. Camper was a Meat Cutter with Kroger and Valleydale stores for many years before retirering and starting his own business, Camper Painting. He was also a Director at the North Roanoke Rec. Club for many years and coached many youths in sports. Was an avid NASCAR fan standing behind his favorite driver Jeff Gordon. All will dearly miss a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Betty Camper; a son, Gerald Camper, Jr. (Michelle); daughter, Delores Watkins (Steve); grandchildren, Nathan and Ethan Camper; special granddaughter, Halie Watkins; siblings, Richard Camper (Sylvia), Faye Keen (Bob), and Judy Sipe, and a sister-in-law. Janet Camper.
