Obituary of Valerie Jeanne Scott

Valerie Jeanne Scott, 67, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 23, 2018.  She was preceded by her mother, Anna Gay Lundy, father, Hayden George Scott and half-sister, Robin Lea Lundy.

Valerie worked as an employee of I.T.T for over 41 years.

Surviving are her daughter, Stacy Ann Maxwell of Roanoke; son, Clinton Scott (Krista) Maxwell of Gainesville, VA; brother, Stephen Scott of Clayton, NC; half-brother, Mark Lundy of Nebo, NC; step-sister, Marion Hutchens of Thaxton, VA; step-brother William Lundy of Hummelstown, PA, and friends, Linda Overfelt, Maris Taylor, and Peggy Barker.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the ALS Association.

A celebration of Valerie's life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory.  540-366-0707
