Obituary of Ronnie Lee Bivens

Ronnie Lee Bivens 71 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on Sunday November 4, 2018. His mother and father. Mary Ellen and L. C. Bivens preceded him.

 

Mr. Bivens served proudly in the United States Navy. He retired after many years as an Insurance Agent for American General Life and Home Beneficial. During retirement, he enjoyed relaxing and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his family, children, grandchildren, and all will dearly miss him.

 

Left to cherish his memory are sons and their families, Danny Bivens and wife Melissa and their children, Kayla, Emily, and Shane; Randy Bivens and his child, Carson; ex-wife, Charlotte Ann Pruett; cousins, Pat Foutz, and Connie Ferrell; aunt and uncle, Danny and Janice Bivens; a dear friend, Eddie Caywood. Along with his constant canine companions, “Joe” and “Ginger” and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Family asks in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local ASPCA in Mr. Bivens memory.

 

Funeral service will be held 12:00pm Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Tuesday November 6, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.simpsonfuneral.com.
