Judy A. Duncan, 56, of Cloverdale went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 4, 2011. Judy was a graduate of Jefferson High School and a 23 years employee of the Carilion Health System . She was a member of Cloverdale Church of the Brethren. For a number of years Judy was a member of the "Pink Jewels" Relay for Life Team which raised over ten thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society. Surviving are her husband, Billy Duncan; sons, M. Troy Duncan of Cloverdale; Seth Duncan of Buchanan; Jefferey Deck and wife Renee of Catawba; grandsons, Hunter Duncan, Justin Deck and Zachary Deck; father and mother, Charles and Juanita Hayslett of Vinton; brothers, Eddie Hayslett and wife June of Vinton; Wayne Hayslett and wife Debbie of Roanoke; Steve Hayslett of Vinton; Ronnie Hayslett and wife Ellen of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; Greg Hayslett and wife Debbie of Vinton; numerous nieces and nephews and a longtime special friend Lou Ann Terry of Hardy. A special thanks to the staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Carrington Place at Botetourt for the wonderful care provided during Judy's illness. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society 2840 Electric Road Suite 106A Roanoke, Virginia 24018. A celebration of Judy's life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Patrick Starkey. The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
