Obituary of Nancy G. Moran

Nancy Lee Gibson Moran, 78,  of Troutville passed into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 11, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Billy Lee Moran, mother, Myrtle Esther Gibson, father, Roy Charles Gibson and a brother, Roy Charles Gibson, Jr.

Nancy was born April 3, 1940 in Roanoke, Virginia. 

She is survived by two daughters, Linda M. Hicks and husband Aubrey, Patricia M. Dillon and husband Mark; seven grandchildren, Brandon Hicks, Andrew Hicks and wife Tammy, Zachary Moran and love, Candace, Billy Dillon, Justin Dillon and wife Megan, Hunter Dillon and wife Ashleigh, and Summr'e Dillon.  Nancy was blessed with many great grandchildren that she loved so very much.  Also surviving are her  brother, Lewis Gibson; sisters, Mary Sparks, Frances Barbour and Virginia Moran; and many beloved nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.  Mom had many special friends that will indeed miss her.  She shared her faith often and blessed many with her love and gererosity toward others.  She is indeed going to be missed by many.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the wonderful health care professionals with  Centra Hospice.  We love you and you will always be in our hearts.

You are home mom, with dad, until we meet again.  No more pain for Jesus has you now and you are happier than you could have ever been.  We love you always!

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
