Billy (Bill) L. Lambert, 54, of Roanoke (formerly of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia) went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 17, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Foster Lambert, and Rosa Violet Fury Lambert, aunts, and uncles including a special Aunt Effie Dowdy. Bill attended Greenbrier East High Schoo and the Metropolitan Community Church of the Blue Ridge. Surviving are his life partner, Sam Tomlinson; brothers, Gary lee Lambert of White Sulphur Springs, WV; Danny Earl Lambert and wife Goldie of Frankford, WV; sister, Janice Lambert Fisk and husband Doug of Lewisburg; numerous nieces and nephews including, Melody, Emily, Mike, Matt, and Kimberly and a special friend Phillip Shilling. Funeral services will be conducted 7 pm Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Chaplin Marvin Barbre. Following the service in Roanoke the remains will be transferred to the Theo Morgan Funeral Home 429 N. Jefferson Street Lewisburg, West Virginia where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in White Sulphur Springs 2 pm Saturday, September 22, 2012 by the Rev. Gene Sizemore. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs, WV. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. 540-366-0707.
