Patricia "Patti' Harris Jones, 66, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 15, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Rebecca Harris, brother, Charles D. Harris and a son, Michael Jones. Patti was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Dawne Iverson of Indiana; Lewis H. Freeman and wife Sharity of Vinton; Ronnie Lee Jones and fiancee Amy James of Roanoke; Kathryn C. Jones and Todd Huddleston of Goodview; and Tonya Jeanette Harris of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Samantha LeeAnn Jones, Michael William Freeman, Alannah Ferris Clements, Robert Matthew (Poobee) Sherlund, Maranda Ann Freeman, Ethan Nicholas Macy and Brady Edmund Macy; longtime, loving companion, James F. (Fi) Langdon; best friend and sister, Jean Hartman of Vinton; and a devoted caregiver, Betty Gusler. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
