She was an active member in the Eastern Star, member of Melrose Baptist Church where she volunteered countless hours in the kitchen serving Wednesday night meals for years. She loved planning and going on trips, shopping, Braves baseball, Hokies football and hearing stories of her great grandkids and their sports stories.

Thomas and husband, Terry, of Charlotte, NC and Courtney Faison of Hurdle Mills, NC. Three great-grandchildren, Reagan, Owen and Morgan Thomas of Charlotte, NC. A niece, Joyce Poore and husband, Jeff of Roanoke, VA and nephew, Bill & Barbara Smith of Salem, VA.

Her good friends, Tabbie, Judy and Gene Bennett, Kate and Carson Harmon, Jimmy Blankenship for being such a good neighbor and friend for so many years and to all of those that helped MaryLynne take care of her in Hardy. and also thanks to the Richfield Nursing Facility and kitchen staff  for helping her.
