Obituary of David Wayne Lovern

David Wayne "Butch" Lovern, 72, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 12, 2018.  He was preceded by his father and mother, Woodrow and Virginia Lovern, and brothers. Kenneth and Bobby Lovern.

Mr. Lovern was a member of the Vinton Moose Lodge and the Roanoke Elks Lodge.  He worked as a Master Plumber for many years in the Roanoke Valley.

Surviving are his daughter, Jeannie Myers and husband Ricky; granddaughters, Alexis and Lindsey Manning; sisters, Rebecca Cooper, Betty Fink and husband Jerry, Shirley Thompson and husband Bryan, and Bonnie Lovern; many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

Special thanks to his sister and brother-in-law Betty and Jerry Fink for caring for Butch in their home during his illness.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Mayflower Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  366-0707
