Hugh "Chick" Harold Blankenship, 83, of Daleville passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Blankenship.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Anita Garrett Blankenship; children, Hugh Harold Blankenship, Jr. (Amanda) of Ironto, Samuel David Blankenship of Blue Ridge,  Alisa Louise  Price (Ralph) Troutville, Rita Marie Shields (John) Buchanan; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

A celebration of "Chick's" life will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road with Bishop Lanny Carter and Pastor J.J. Davis officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
