Aunt Rita was a storyteller of her and my mom Opal as childern and marrying brothers. Love her smirks and blushing when she spoke. Loved when we visited she have goodies for us kids and coke a cola. Always made us feel the warmth of being home. Never let us leave hungry. Sharing a piece of her wisteria or seeds from her proud garden.
She loved talking about the Bible and I remember going to the assembly with her and sitting next to me, making sure I looked up scriptures and kept focus. Hated going home because she was warm, thoughtful and such a perfect hostess. I will miss my visits with Rita & Opal and being amazed at her memory of telling family history. 100 years old her and Opal 97 still remembered as if clear yesterday. See you in Paradise Ladies.
Love Terry

Aunt Rita was a special aunt to me; she always made me feel very special and I know she loved me and my mother very much. I will always cherish my memories of good times I spent at her house, especially when I would visit at her home in Wise. She was very humble, deeply caring for others. She was talented, an artist in her own way; she was a master gardener before this title was ever used; her flowers and garden reflected her talent to 'touch the earth In a unique way.' She was familiar with traditions of healing/home remedies that were part of her mountain heritage.
I am sad that Aunt Rita has left this world but I know her Heavenly Father has received her with open arms and I know she is among those referred to as 'virtuous women,' those who accomplish the tasks set before them, realizing the importance of completing earthly duties, always looking to Jehovah God in obedience to His will. I love Aunt Rita's family and send my condolences, in love.
