It is with great sadness that the family of William Scott Shelton, 48, of Roanoke, VA announce that Scott passed away on August 30th, 2018 after an extended illness. He was born April 27th, 1970, the son of Walt and Ann Shelton. He attended Roanoke Valley Christian Schools, graduating in 1988. After high school he received his degree from ECPI technical school and was employed by General Electric in Mebane, NC during his work career.
Scott is survived by his parents, Walt and Ann Shelton; his children, Brett and Caroline Shelton and their mother, Kelly Shelton; his special friend, Revonda Brown; his sister, Donna (Phillip) Layman; his brother David (Julie) Shelton all of Roanoke, VA; his brother Tim (Valerie) of Zebulon, NC as well as numerous nieces, nephews, additional family and friends.
Scott was an avid sports fan, always rooting for his Virginia Tech Hokies and Pittsburgh Steelers but never shying away from watching any sporting event at any time. He was a lover of all genres of music as exhibited by his eclectic music collection. He loved his family and friends and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. While we are grieving that he is no longer with us, we are rejoicing that he is with the Lord.
