Obituary of Herbert Henry Booze

Herbert Henry Booze, 80, of Bedford County, VA, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 25, 2018. He was preceded in death by his son, Joe Booze; granddaughter, Amy Smith; siblings, Roy, Dennis, Clayborn, Jenny, Cleo and Emma Jean; and parents, Roy G. Booze and Elizabeth Cahoon Booze.

Mr. Booze served proudly in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a long-time member of the Church of God in Vinton and retired from Precision Fabrics Group, Inc. after many years of service. He also enjoyed working his farm, raising calves and helping other local farmers. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

Surviving are his loving and caring wife, Mary Booze; children, James Booze, Brenda Smith and husband Dave, and George Booze and wife Paula; step children, Eddie Tuck and Susan Sekinger; thirteen grandchildren: Gary Booze (April), James Booze, Amos Booze, Josh Booze, Chad Smith (Jessica), Jessie Smith, Malcolm Smith, Justin Booze, Cameron Booze (Joslyn), Jarrod Booze, Logan Williams, Aubrey Booze and Jackson Booze. Along with  many great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

The family will be receiving friends Thursday August 30, 2018 from 4:00-7:00pm with Military Honors at 6:00 p.m. at his home, in Bedford. Interment will be private.
