Robert E. (Bob) Greer, 82, of Roanoke passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Christine Wingfield Greer, and his wife Vicki Greer. Surviving are his sons, Erby Greer and wife Debbie Persinger, Robert "Tim" Greer and wife Tracey; grandchildren, Zakery, Alison, Jonathan and Givea Greer, and JoAnna Wheeler; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Pat Fralin. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Oakland Baptist Church 3623 Round Hill Avenue N.W. Roanoke, VA 24012. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, 540-366-0707.
