Obituary of Ruby Crowder Collins

Ruby Crowder Collins, 93, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Wauline (Wiley) Collins; parents, John Thomas and Mary Crowder, brothers, Wilbur and Earl; sisters, Gladys, Helen and Lyla.

Ruby and her family moved to Hopewell, Virginia and lived there for many years.  After the death of her husband, she returned to Roanoke to live out the rest of her life.

Surviving are her daughter, Judy Taylor; sister, Thelma Jones; brother, Clyde Crowder; special niece, Kay Mills; life long friend, Virginia Holley; caregivers, Barbara and Donnie Dunbar;  her special angel, Amy Richardson and numerous other family and friends.

Ruby was a member of Hope Bible Church.

Special thanks to Pastor Don for his faithful visits and his delicious tomatoes, the staff at Springtree Nursing and Rehab, and the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for the loving care shown to Ruby.  God bless you all.
