Obituary of Doris Platt Doolan

Doris Platt Doolan, 78, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 17, 2018.  She was preceded by her parents, Jason Julian Sr. and Helen Gatch Platt, and a brother Jason Julian Platt, Jr.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, John Parker Doolan; children, Cindy (Scott) Loshkreff, Karen (Robby) Ewing, Jason (Lisa) Doolan, and Keith (Amy) Doolan; grandchildren, Kayla (Justin) Dowdy, Jade Doolan, Kaitlyn Spangler, Kale and Julian Doolan, Rebekah and Sarah Ewing, Parker and Maudie Doolan; great granddaughter, Keelan Dowdy; sister, Betty (Ed) Edwards; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Blue Ridge Cancer Care.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road.  366-0707
