Obituary of Mary Mundy

Mary Brown Yost Mundy, 92, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 20, 2018.  She was preceded by her husbands, Jimmy Brown, Robert Yost, and Lewis Mundy.  Also preceding her was a son, Michael Brown and numerous brothers and sisters.

For many years Mary loved and cared for foster children.  She was a former employee of Air Lee Cleaners and retired from Goodwill.  Mary was a charter member of Zion Assembly Church of God.

Surviving are her daughter, Reba Opincar; grandsons, Randy, Victor, and Gary Gentry; sister, Pauline Garman; and a special niece, Diane Davis and husband David

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor J.J.  Davis, and Bishop William Jones and Bishop Lanny Carter.  Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Wednesday until service time.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home.  366-0707
