Elva Anderson Puckett 84 of Salem, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. She was preceded by her loyal husband, Joseph Anderson, parents, Henry and Lillian Hannah, brother, Fred Hannah and a sister, Ruby Hannah. Was a member of W.M.U. at Mountain Pass Church where she was president for 6 years.. Also was a loyal member of Ridgewood Baptist Church in Salem. Surviving are the five M's, Marilyn G. Bowles (Kermit Arthur), Michael L. Anderson, Marlene G. Littrell, Malcolm L. Anderson (Nola), Martin L. Anderson; sister, Eloise Earnest; best friend, Jo Collins; dear friends, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marshall along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Friends may visit with the family Friday, August 31, 2012 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home. A service celebrating Elva's life will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012, 10:00am at Ridgewood Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
