Gabe Voss, 93 of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday February 28, 2018. His wife, Mary Ann Voss, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Voss of  Richmond, Pamela (Voss) Burgess and son-in-law, Pete Burgess; granddaughter, Taylor Burgess; grandson, Gabe Burgess of  Roanoke, a son, David Voss  and daughter-in-law, Debra Law of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives across the country.

Gabe was born in Eden, NC. He entered the Army at the age of 17 and was honorably discharged in 1946. After his service to his country, he moved to Roanoke, VA and attended National Business College. He acquired a job with Regal Cookware, then later selling under his own company name, Seal-O-Matic of Virginia.

Over the years. Gabe enjoyed golf, and alongside Mary Ann was an avid tennis player, gardener, and handyman. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and active well into his eighties. He was member of the Cave Spring Lion Club and enjoyed traveling with family and friends.    

A devote husband, father, grandfather, and good friend, he will be dearly missed by all. 

Flowers are appreciated or in lieu of, donations to Volunteer Services at Virginia Veterans Medical Center or Cave Spring Lions Club.

A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Saturday March 3, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor John Collins officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00pm until service time Saturday.
