Obituary of Nicholas Gray Sherman

Nicholas "Nick" Gray Sherman of Roanoke went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Sunday February 18, 2018, at the age of 30.

Nick is survived by his amazing and loving wife, Kelley Sherman; fur babies, Lexi and Freckles; his mother, Vickie Sherman; father Alan Sherman (Josefina); siblings Julie Smith (Bob), Nikia Sherman, Joe Sherman (Stephanie); mother and father in law, Robert and Elizabeth Saum; sister in law, Stacey Saum; grandmother, Barbara Bower; two uncles and three aunts, and several cousins. His grandfather, Calvin Bower, precedes him in death.

Nick was born on September 16, 1987 in Norfolk, VA. Nick was a devoted husband, son, brother, and friend. He married his high school sweetheart, Kelley and were together for 13 years. Nick enjoyed being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a generous person that would do anything for anyone. Nick never met a stranger.

The family will receive friends at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke on Friday February 23, 2018 from 5:00-8:00pm. Pastor Lee Sarver will lead a celebration of Nick's life on Saturday February 24, 2018 at 11:00am at Simpson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private.
