Obituary of Toby Shannon Rogers

Toby Shannon Rogers, 43, of Masons Cove went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 18, 2018.  He was preceded by his grandparents, Lee and Mary Rogers and Zed and Maxine Long.

Toby attended Northside High School and was a graduate of Job Core.  He was an avid New York Yankee and University of Virginia Wahoos fan.  He coached basketball and soccer for the Masons Cove Recreation Club and the Glenvar Youth Boosters Club.  Toby worked in the landscape business for many years.

Surviving are his children, Glory Rogers and Evan Rogers; mom and dad, Rhonda and Daniel Rogers; uncle and aunt, Dennis and Rhonda Hill; aunts and uncle, Vivian Long, and Renee and Doug Howell.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

A celebration of Toby’s life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road with the Rev. Jeffrey Dorsey officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory.  540-366-0707
