Obituary of Harriett Ann Scott

Harriett Ann Scott, born in Norfolk Virginia Jan 10, 1921, passed into eternal rest on February 17, 2018. Ann was preceded by her husband Vincent C Scott and her son Vincent C Scott, Jr, VMI class of 1966. Ann is survived by her daughters Kay Bordner and Sharon Blackman of Sandston, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and soon to be 12 great grandchildren. Ann was a long time member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church. Ann was also employed by Miller and Rhodes in the children's clothing department, retiring in 1986 after 27 years of service. Nanny as she was called, love to cook her famous holiday dishes, and to sing to everyone in the family on their birthdays. She has now found her peace and will be remembered as the one who never gave up hope and for the return of her son from Vietnam. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2:15 p.m.. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. Roanoke, Virginia (540)366-0707.
