Steven Robert Maffee, 59, of Roanoke (formerly of Elizabeth, New Jersey) passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Maffe and a granddaughter, Brooklyn Maffe. Mr. Maffe was a 1999 graduate of Radford University. Surviving are his son and daughter in law, Steven and Amy Maffe of Roanoke; daughter, Jill Ann Maffee of Fincastle; grandson, Ryland Gage Maffe; father Tony Maffe; sister, Toni-Marie Everhart both of Arizona; brothers, Michael Maffe of California and Brian Maffe of Oklahoma; former wife, Claire J. Kralick of Roanoke; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice. A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends following the service.
