Obituary of Davie "Lynn" Thompson

Davie "Lynn" Thompson 66 of Roanoke, formerly of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 7, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Lynn, for all his adult life, was a Master Plumber. He was also a member of Edgewood Christian Church for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who liked to go fishing and traveling the United States, liked old cars and Harley Davidsons. Lynn was a kind, and loving husband and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 24 years Lynn Harlow Thompson; sisters, Elaine Thompson, and Wilda Wilson; brothers, Ronnie Thompson (Carolyn), Doug Thompson, Ken Thompson, Ronald Thompson (Nashaela); father-in-law, Linwood Harlow; sisters-in-law, Patsy Pack (Buddy), Jeanie Stump (Tony), Katie Harlow; brothers-in-law, Charlie Harlow (Brenda), and Scott Harlow (Cindy). Along with several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Edgewood Christian Church Building Fund in Lynn’s memory.

A memorial service celebrating Lynn’s life will be held 1:00pm Saturday February 10, 2018 at Edgewood Christian Church in Roanoke, VA by Pastor Larry Atkin and Pastor Brian Orahood. Family will receive friends from 11:00am until service time Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be private. Condolences may be left for the family at www.simpsonfuneral.com.
