Obituary of Herman Spencer Mills, Sr.

Herman Spencer Mill, Sr., 80, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father Willie Mills and brother Alexander Mills.

Herman is survived by his wife of 51 years Carolyn Mills; mother (105) Ruth Mills; son, Herman S. Mills, Jr. and wife Robin; grandchildren, James Mills and Jody Mills; siblings, Betty Guthrie, Aneita Mills, Jerry Mills and wife Loretta, Harold Mills and wife Joyce, and Kathy Hartman and husband Ronnie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Herman’s name.

A graveside service with military honors will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Roy Rogers.  Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
