Malcolm Everette (Mac) Jennings, 83, of Roanoke, was called home to be with his Father on Friday, August 24, 2012. Malcolm enjoyed being outdoors and collecting Lionel trains that he loved operating for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a kind soul and a huge heart and befriended everyone he met. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was greatly loved by everyone that knew him and will be missed tremendously. Malcolm was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Kesler Jennings; daughter, Kathy Jennings Delp; parents, John Malcolm and Alice Taylor Jennings; brothers, Jack, James, Don, Kenneth and Leroy Jennings; and sisters, Doris Niday and Margaret Wilhelm. Surviving are his children, Joyce Faye Mitchem, Vickie Wilkerson and husband, Lynn, Sue Huffman and husband, Doug, and Barry Wayne Jennings and wife, Barbara. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; and brother, Bruce Jennings and wife, Glenda. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road with Tommy Blewett, minister, officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Simpson Funeral Home. 540-366-0707
