Obituary of Mary Jane Woodson Franklin

January 11, 2018 Mary Jane Franklin, 88, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 11, 2018. She was preceded by her husband, Beverly H. Franklin; parents, Isaac and Edna Woodson; brothers, Isaac Woodson, Jr.; and sisters, Mae Woodson and Ann Johnson. Mrs. Franklin attended James Madison University and was a longtime member of Hollins Road Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, William H. Franklin and partner, Rhonda Musselman, Larry B. Franklin; daughter, Diana Franklin and partner, Ricky Hill; brothers, Phil Woodson and Don Woodson, and sister, Peggy Lineweaver. Memorials may be made to Hollins Road Baptist Church Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Mark Washington. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Simpson Funeral Home, 540-366-0707.
