Obituary of Jesse James Fisher

Jesse James Fisher, Jr. 78, of Salem went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 31, 2017. He was preceded by his parents, Jesse James Fisher, Sr. and Charlotte Owens Fisher, and a sister Lillian Bott.Mr. Fisher was the owner of Fisher Plumbing and Heating for more than 20 years. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and served in the U S Army Reserve.Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Reynolds Fisher; daughters, Linda Kay Fisher Martin, Cynthia Ann Fisher Morgan and Mike Yopp, Elizabeth Elaine Fisher Casey and husband Mike, Emily Jane Fisher McDaniel and husband Richard; special grandchildren, Ava and Addison McDaniel and Austin Gray Turner; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Curtis Fisher and wife Janice, Frank Fisher and wife Tina, Tommy Fisher and wife Shelby, Clyde Fisher and wife Patricia, Raymond Fisher; sisters, Barbara Doyle and husband Sam, Blanche McCue and husband Walter, and Joyce Fauls; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Greg Irby. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
