Dorothy “Dot” Lane Doutt, 102, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 27, 2017. She was preceded by her husband Milton Doutt, a daughter, Penny Gail Doutt, and parents, Ernest and Jennie Lane.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a permanent greeter. She was the best mom that a daughter could have.

Surviving are her daughter Dale D. Hurt and husband Gary; granddaughters, Nicole Ellinwood and husband Brian, Melissa Blankenship and husband Brad; great granddaughters, Sierra and Savana Ellinwood; great grandsons, Ryder and Grayson Francisco; step great grandsons, A.J. and Chris Blankenship.

The family would like to offer their special thanks to the staff on 3 Main at Friendship Health and Rehab Center for the care and compassion they showed Mrs. Doutt.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran 4040 Williamson Road Roanoke, VA 24012.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. David Derrick. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. 366-0707
