Obituary of Clarence Allen Lazenby

Allen “Moe” Lazenby, 49, of Salem went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 18, 2017. He was preceded by his father, H.C. Lazenby and numerous aunts and uncles.

He was employed in the Water Department of the City of Salem.

Allen was an avid outdoorsman and a past President of the Salem Bass Slayers.

Surviving are his wife, Debbie Stultz Lazenby; children, Crystal Reed and husband Josh, Mandi (Little Moe) Lazenby and Chad Mullins; grandchildren, Haley, Drew, Kadence, Abel and Rylan Reed; mother, Virginia Lazenby; brothers, Carl Walker, Chuck Lazenby and wife Donna; sister, Joanne Stultz and husband Eddie; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Jean Stultz; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special grandpup, Ruger Jack.

The family would like to offer their very special thanks to the doctors and staff at the VCU Medical Center for their many acts of kindness and compassion during Allen’s illness.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

A celebration of Allen’s life will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Fellowship Community Church 1226 Red Lane Extension Salem by Pastor Ronnie Palmer. The family will receive friends following the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. 366-0707
