Obituary of Jettie Adams Anders

Jettie A. Anders, 71, of Roanoke, passed away at her home, Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from complications of Alzheimer’s. Jettie was born in Hankle, Va. in a suburb of Saltville. She was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Emory Va.  She retired from Verizon Phone Company with 39 years of service, two ten year perfect attendance certificates, and was the first female lineman in Roanoke.  Jettie was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Melinda Adams; brothers Bill and Jerry Adams. Jettie is survived by her soulmate and husband of 44 years Wayne Anders; stepson Randy Anders; sisters, Thea Cross, Lynn Krishner, Avonda Bryant, and Carla Greer; brothers, Ray Adams, Ned Adams, Kenny Adams, and Phil Adams.
