Obituary of Brenda Carol Salmon

Brenda Carol Salmon 72 of Roanoke went to be with the Lord and her husband, Jim on Saturday October 7, 2017. Along with her husband Jim her parents, Frank and Mary Alice Robinson, three brothers, twins, Ronald and Donald Robinson, Richard “Dick” Robinson, and a feline companion, “Trouble” also preceded her.

Mrs. Salmon enjoyed life, and being outdoors, camping or fishing. When she was home, she found pleasure in sewing, and taking care of her cats. However, mostly she enjoyed cooking for her family and taking care of them. A truly remarkable woman, and a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend, and person who will always be in their hearts.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Eddie Clark and wife Kim of North Carolina, Jody Clark and wife Petra of Roanoke, Rhonda Sigmon and husband Chris of Bedford, David Lee Clark and wife Stacey of Roanoke and a special niece Kim Asbury of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Taylor, Jackson, Alexander and wife Britney, Ody and wife Ashly, Christian, Samantha, and Tonya, and Caleb; four great grandchildren, Hunter, Gannon, Maddie and future Baby Sigmon; sisters, Wanda Crizer and husband Raymond L. Jr, Beverly Meadows and husband Charlie; a brother, Stephen Robinson. Along with her three feline companions, Bootsie, Bubbals, and Patches and a host of other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the staff at Carilion Hospice, especially Amy and Tiffany for all the  care and support and Adam Young in making Brenda’s life more comfortable during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springwood Baptist Church, 88 Copps Hill Road, Buchanan, Virginia 24066 or to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road #106, Roanoke, Virginia 24018 in Brenda's memory. 

A memorial service will be held Sunday October 15, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Springwood Baptist Church. Inurnment will be private.
