Kenneth Everett Michael, Sr., 77, of Callaway Va., was called by the Creator to the drum circle of our ancestors on Thursday, October 5, 2017. He was a retired manager for the Gate Store on Walnut Ave. in Roanoke Virginia. He touched many lives in the community during that time. He served in the US Army and was an avid outdoorsman, musician, and mentor. His insight and wisdom will carry on for generations. The mountain has lost some of its thunder. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Monte Vista Acres (1576 Wades Gap Rd. Callaway, Va. 24067) at 12 noon. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. (540)366-0707.
