Guy Daniel Dixon, 82, of Salem went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife Vera French Dixon. Mr. Dixon retired after 29 years of service with General Electric and was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church. Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Kay; Steve and Carolyn; Roger and Vicky; grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Corey, Daniel, Jennifer, Kimberly, and Steven; great grandchildren, Preston, Jyramiah, Jason, Khloe and Brantley. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sherwood Memorial Park. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
