Rob, you will be so missed by all of your family. I remember the Christmas gatherings where you and Bonnie opened your home to family and fed us until we could not move a muscle. Your gift was to bless us with your blessings.
My prayers and thoughts are with you my sweet sister Bonnie and we will get through this heartache together!
Fly high Rob! So glad your pain is now over and gone for eternity.

Though I know that this is a difficult time for you, my hope is that you will be comforted from God's inspired word the Bible. John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21: 3,4 gives hope of a future resurrection and the complete elimination of death, pain and mourning. Under Jesus' kingdom rule we have this and much more to look forward to. Please accept my deepest condolences. For more scriptural encouragement please go to www.jw.org.

I'm sorry for the loss of your loved one. It is comforting to know that your loved one is alive in God's memory, God never loses sight of them. (Luke 20:38)
It is also comforting to know of a time when God promises to end death forever. (Rev. 21:4)

Bonnie and family - My sincerest condolences at the loss of Mr. Harris. His passing breaks my heart, as he was my favorite patient. He maintained a good sense of humor, and I always enjoyed him calling the office. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I find solace in knowing he is with our Heavenly Father and is healthy again.

So sorry to hear of Rob's passing. I believe I was the person who hired him at Food Lion back in the 90s when I worked at the store he most recently managed. Although it's been years since I've seen or had contact with Rob, I remember him fondly as a great person, a hard worker and all around good guy. My sincere condolences to his family.

What's a night mgr suppose to say about "The Boss" well...He was crazy, he took being a Boss to a whole new level. He would get upset about employees not doing what needed to be done an then he would feel bad about the way he handled it an the next day he would leave you a love letter saying he was sorry. Boss would go singing through the aisles and customers would stare at him and he would just look at them an say...that boys good!!! Me an The Boss talked almost everyday usually about Food Lion that helped keep his mind off cancer. The last talk we had he said he only had one regret in life ...that he wished he would have spent less time being The Boss an more time enjoying his wife an family. He cared about everyone, if you needed it, he made sure you got it. In my eyes he was the best Boss ever. I Love you an I will miss you like crazy. Peace out Brother till we meet again.....Julie

I had the pleasure of working for Robert on several different occasions. He always made work fun and interesting. In this day of age we need a lot more like him. Not a day goes by that I recall something he said or did that makes me smile and laugh. He knew when to push my buttons and I knew when to push his. You will be missed my friend! Mike

I met Robert HARRIS at Food Lion when he was working at the Southwest Plaza store. My son started working with him at that store. Then later on MICHAEL went to work for him over at Apperson Drive. Robert was always so nice to me. My husband met him over at Apperson. Robert was always cutting up and laughing.
Our son thought the world of Robert. We were so sorry to hear when he got sick.
I kept him and his family in my prayers. Our deepest sympathy to his wife and all of his family. LINDA, DAVE and MICHAEL Nance

Robert was an amazing guy. He was very kind and friendly. From the first time that I ever met Robert, I was taken back by his sharing. I was a new Store Manager at the Vinton store and I called Robert up to ask for a favor. Robert was extremely unselfish and kindly gave me needed supplies. Robert continued to be very open and friendly toward me. I greatly appreciate that. I was also so glad to hear that Robert had put his faith in Jesus Christ. I look forward to seeing him again one day in Heaven. If there is any way that I can ever be of service, please don't hesitate to email or call (703-310-9294 or s0137sm@retail.foodlion.com). Your family is in my prayer. Sincerely, Craig Caylor

Robert was my first best friend. From the age of 6-9, we roamed the streets and backwoods of the Monroe Terrace area of Radford. Those adventures are ingrained upon my memory to this day. Besides sharing the same last name, (No relation) we had alot in common. We both really liked music, which became my passion in life. We liked all the cool things that little kids do! We went to Bell Heth Elementary school together, and afterwards, we shared drafting and electrical wiring classes as seniors. We also played softball together. Those where some great times as well. Alot of laughs and cutting up. However, those for-mentioned years, those where great life lessons that stuck with me all these years later. Some years ago, his brother Donnie, who I've also been very fond of, had some great laughs together, as we recalled the infamous "Rock Episode". Those where the days! I lost touch with Robert after high school and haven't seen him since. So, it's with a heavy heart that I write this today, but I will always have the memories. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. May love shine it's way through. Sincerely, Ron Harris

I worked with Robert for several years and learned a great deal from him. I was often pushed to my limits working under him and thank him for that to this day. Bonnie shopped our store quite often and they always seemed so happy together. My heart breaks for his family. I'm sending many prayers your way.

College courses at NRCC with the "Aceman". You definitely made all of those so much better by your presence and great sense of humor! Betting 6 packs on who whether or not we passed exams and just riding around in your Grand Am talking about everything and anything. You were always a great friend to me and every time I think of you I'll smile knowing I was one of the fortunate ones to have known you and call you a friend. Rest In Peace brother

You big dummy! You went to Heaven before I could get down to see you properly! Undoubtedly one of the best childhood friends I ever had. My condolences are extended to Charlie, Donnie, and their lovely sister. I could write many things, but the greatest connective experience I can remember with Robert was when we were on the football field in the 10th grade. He was the quarterback and I received the catch for 50 yards, just short of the touchdown. Coach Saltz ran the same play later, but I dropped the ball. Robert, I love ya buddy! SHALOM my good friend!
