Obituary of Ronald Addis

Ronald (Ron) C. Addis, 73, of Hardy went home to be with the Lord, Monday August 28, 2017. He was preceded by his parents, Berkly and Evelyn Donahue Addis, and his step mother, Garnet Addis.

Ron retired from the Communications Department of the Norfolk Southern Corporation and served in the U S Air Force.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Addis; daughters, Kathy Walls and husband Stacy, Lynda Hopkins and husband Sherman; grandchildren, Amanda Hopkins, Matthew and Daniel Walls; step son, Stacy Melton and wife Laura; step grandchildren, Garrett and Jacob Melton; sisters-in-law, Barbara Dickerson and husband Dwight, Diane Lawson and fiancé Gerald Wilkerson.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Stutes. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
