Carl Jacob (CJ) Hinkle, 26, of Hardy went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 5, 2012. He was employed as a lineman with Davis H. Elliott and was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving are his daughter, Sasha Hinkle; mother, Melodie Evans of Salem; father, Ronald Hinkle of Texas; step father, Doug Ramey; sister, Carrie Thomas of Huddleston; brother, Josh Hinkle of Roanoke devoted friends, Jacob Cincioni and wife Allyson, Adam Meador, Chris McGuire, Julian Cincioni, and Aaron Russell; and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be made to help cover funeral expenses. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Melvin Harris. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
