We are off on a camping week but wanted you to know you are in our thoughts at this very difficult time. If we can help in any way over the next few months, please let us know. You are not alone. As Ken said in church that last Sunday, we are family.

Dearest Ann,
I was deeply saddened to hear of your husband's passing. It has been many years since we taught together, but some people have a smile and aura one never forgets. With Christ carrying your sorrow, I pray time will bring renewed reasons to smile, and, joy of treasured memories you both shared together. I lift up healing prayers for you and your family. Love & Blessings

Although it has been many years since I lived in Roanoke, seeing Mr. Journell's picture instantly brought back many happy memories of Northview United Methodist Church, the Journell family, UMYF activities (church camp with Terry) and how incredibly kind Ken and Ann were to all of us kids back then.
With caring thoughts and deepest sympathy,

Dear Ann, Terry, Joanie, and Benny,
I am so saddened to hear of Skinny's passing. I don't think I ever saw him without a big smile or a happy laugh. It was fun to see him at Little League games, and he even made you feel happy when visiting Simpson's. He and your family have been in my prayers throughout the year, knowing of his health issues, and continue today. Love to each of you and the rest of your family, Lynn Ellen

Ken and Ann were two of the first people our family met at Northview Church when we moved to Roanoke. Ken was always such a rock of the community and he was always so positive and energetic. Ann and Ken have always been a couple whose faith and commitment to one another were evident in their daily lives. I am so sorry this has been such a hard year for them. I am sorry for your loss but I know that the memory of Ken's honorable life and the memories you shared will comfort you all. Ken certainly made the world a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Linda Mercer Royal and family

I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience. Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible. Jesus tells us at John 5:28, 29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day. Meanwhile as I pray for that day to come I ask Jehovah God to bless your family and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time.
