Donna (Gay) Buckner 65, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She was preceded by her former husband, Gary Buckner, father and mother, Herbert Lee and Julie Gross Sharp, sister, Lucille Sharp and brothers, George Earnest and Jackie Sharp.

Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Walker and husband Jason; sisters, Viola Ball, Stella Miller and husband Bobby, Nellie Royal, Mary Sue Miller and husband Randall, Hazel (Sue) Hess; brother, Ronnie Sharp; numerous nieces and nephews including  two special nieces, Judy Beckner and husband Lance, Angie Fralin and husband Junior.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and  2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
