Kathryn Otterman Atkinson

Kathryn Atkinson, 90, a resident of Friendship Manor and formerly of Fincastle, was called home to be with her Lord and beloved family members. She was a beautiful lady that excelled in many positions as a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She asked for little and gave a lot to others by being a good listener, telling funny stories, her laughter, and a smile that could brighten the world. To her everyone was special.

A big thank you to her Friendship family, doctors, special friends, and church family for the outstanding care and acts of love. She adored you all. Thank you to Carilion Hospice for all of your care, kindness, and help making her comfortable.

The family will hold a private and brief graveside service at Mill Creek Cemetery in Fincastle where she will be laid to rest beside of her husband that she has so missed for 24 years. They are now together, forever. In memory of Kathryn please be kind and love one another, laugh, hug, and smile today for tomorrow may never come. We will love and miss you forever Mom.
